Dr. Thin Sandar Oo is a Professor and Head of Department of Textile Engineering at West Yangon Technological University. She received the Bachelor and Master Degrees in Textile Engineering from Yangon Technological University, Yangon, Myanmar, in 2002 and 2004. She received the Ph.D. Degree in Textile Engineering from Mandalay Technological University, Mandalay, Myanmar, in 2006. In 2007, she joined to the Department of Textile Engineering at West Yangon Technological University as a Lecturer and became Head of Department in December 2007. She promoted to associate professor in 2011 and she served as an Associate Professor and Head of Department from 2011 to 2014 at WYTU. In 2014, she transferred to Yangon Technological University as an Associate Professor and served in teaching, research and supervision. Her research interest is related to Textile Materials, Textile Dyeing and Finishing, and Industrial Engineering and Management. She had carried out the research related to Textile Finishing. In 2017, she promoted to Professor and moved to West Yangon Technological University. Now, she is working as a Professor and Head at Department of Textile Engineering, West Yangon Technological University. She served as a member of Technical Programme Committee in International Conferences held in WYTU. She actively participated as a GICC member in 5 th ICSE, 6 th ICSE, 7 th ICSE and 8 th ICSE organized by YTU from 2014 to 2017. She actively performed as an organizer in 1 st ICSTSD 2018, and 2 nd ICSTSD 2019 organized by WYTU in 2018 and 2019. She wrote three technical papers and coauthored five technical papers. She supervised post graduate candidates not only in YTU but also in WYTU. She served as a Technical Chair for all graduation and post-graduation thesis doing in WYTU. Additionally, she was appointed as a Quality Management Representative in order to oversee and manage the Quality Management System (QMS) of WYTU in August 2020 and she is also a member of Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) Unit of WYTU.
