Today Yangon area has very rapid development and expansion because of its socioeconomic cum political significance. So it now needs to construct the high rise building and this research gives the bearing capacity of pile foundation at different location of site at various depth in Yankin township. This study includes Sedona Hotel Extension Building Project Site, twenty seven storeyed Hong Anh Gia Lai-Myanmar Center project and twenty five storeyed building project site. The bearing capacity of the individual piles can be calculated by the static method, dynamic method and pile load test. In the static method, the bearing capacity of bore pile (end bearing and skin friction) is estimated by using geotechnical parameters resulting from in-situ test results (SPT-N value) and Laboratory test results. Total numbers of the selected boreholes are 20 boreholes from Yankin Township in Yangon City. The bearing capacity is considered at depth 20m, 30m, and 70m respectively. Common static equations for calculating single pile bearing capacity proposed by Terzaghi (1976), Tomlinson (1971), Meyerhof (1976), NAVFAC DM 7.2 (1982), Braja M.Das (1984), and Architectural Institute of Japan (2004) are applied. The ultimate bearing capacity and allowable bearing capacity for deep foundation is calculated based on the standard penetration test. In 18 m depth of cohesive soil, the highest value by using Architectural Institute of Japan (2004) equation is 16.27 tsf and the lowest value by calculating Tomlinson (1971) equation is 2.61 tsf. The highest value of allowable bearing capacity for NAVFAC DM 7.2 (1982) equation is 160 tsf and the lowest value of allowable bearing capacity for Tomlinson (1971) equation is 35.54 tsf in 30 m depth of sandy soil.
