Automatic Traffic Light Control System using LOGO!

This paper gives the automatic traffic light control system for the intersection of two two-way streets by using programmable logic controller (PLC). The scope of this paper is to perform the implementation of sequential traffic signaling process controlled by PLC techniques. The software part is operated by using LOGO! Soft Comfort V8.0, Siemens. And an emergency case is also added in the control process. With the use of LOGO! 8, this paper provides not only the simulation process of traffic control system but also the innovation of software programming by means of user-defined functions (UDFs).
